Last week, UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma was trying to prevent Stanford's Jayne Appel from having an impact on the court in San Antonio.

In a report of the first few days of training camp from USA Basketball, Geno says of Jayne:
"We haven’t had the chance to see her on the floor with these other players. Obviously I’m anxious to see it and I know Jayne is anxious to see it. Right now all we can say is that she is part of the program. I know at some point she’s going to want to be out there and we’re going to want to evaluate her.
