Our eight Stanford alums are doing very well in their 2015-16 season abroad. Each is in her team's starting lineup and all but one leads her team in at least one statistical category.
Italy
The Italian Serie A1 league is in round 16 of 26. The regular season ends the second week of April.
Jillian Harmon – LuccaLucca is having a great season. They finished seventh in the league last season, but are currently tied with Ragusa for first place with a 15-1 win-loss record. Lucca's single loss was at home to Ragusa. The two teams are scheduled to meet again at Ragusa in round 24.
Jillian, Lucca's starting power forward, is a key factor in their success. She leads her team in scoring (19.6 ppg, 5th in the league). She averages 3.8 steals per game – second-best in the team and the league. She grabs 5.9 rebounds per game.
Kayla Pedersen – LuccaKayla starts at the center for Lucca and is also having a very good season. She leads her team in blocks with 0.3 per game and is the second-best scorer (11.8 ppg) and rebounder (7.1 rpg). She's had three double-doubles.
Amber Orrange – VigaranoVigarano is not doing so well. They stand 12th in the 14-team league with a 4-12 win-loss record.
Amber is having a good rookie season. She starts as Vigarano's shooting guard. She's scored in double digits in half the games, makes 46% of her shots, and averages 9.3 ppg. She also tallies 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.1 assists per game.
Russia
The Russian Professional Basketball League (PBL) is in Round 15 of 22. The regular season ends the last week of March.
FIBA EuroLeague Women, in which Nneka's team is playing, has just three more weeks of group play. Playoffs begin on March 8.
Nneka Ogwumike – Dynamo KurskDynamo Kursk is standing third in the PBL with an 11-3 win-loss record. In EuroLeague women, they're in a two-way tie for second place in their group with an 8-4 win-loss record behind reigning champion Fenerbahce. They've clinched a spot in the quarter-finals.
Nneka has been outstanding in both competitions. She leads all EuroLeague players in field goals made and field goal percentage (56.9), is second in points per game (18.0) and fifth in total rebounds per game (9.0). She's scored in double-digits in all but one game and has tallied five double-doubles.
Nneka makes 66.7% of her shots in the PBL games. She leads her team and the league in scoring (20.4 ppg). She also leads her team in rebounding (7.4 rpg, #8 in the league).
Sarah Boothe – Kazanochka KazanKazanochka stands at eighth in the 14-team PBL with a 4-11 win-loss record.
Sarah starts for Kazanochka as the power forward and plays about 30 minutes per game. She's having a fine season. She leads her team in scoring (11.9 ppg), rebounding (9.1 rpg, #4 in the league) and blocks (0.9 bpg, #10 in the league).
Turkey
The Turkish Women Basketball Super League (KBSL) is in round 16 of 26. The regular season ends the first week of April.
Kristen Nevlin – GelistirenlerGelistirenler stands at ninth in the 14-team league with a 7-9 win-loss record.
Kristen starts for Gelistirenler as the power forward and plays about 30 minutes per game. She leads her team in rebounding with 8.3 per game and is their fourth-best scorer with 11.9 points per game.
Australia
The Australian Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) is in round 18 of 22. The regular season ends the last week of February.
Mikaela Ruef – Adelaide LightningAdelaide is struggling this season. They stand eighth in the nine-team league with a 6-12 win-loss record.
Mikaela is Adelaide's starting center and plays more than 30 minutes per game. She leads her team in rebounds (9.9, second in the league), is second in assists (2.3 apg) and third in scoring (13.5 ppg). She's scored in double-digits in 12 games and tallied five double-doubles.
Joslyn Tinkle – Sydney Uni FlamesSydney is in a three-way tie for third place with a 12-7 win-loss record.
Jos is Sydney's starting power forward. She leads her team in blocks (1.2 bpg, #6 in the league), is second in rebounds (5.5 rpg). and fourth in scoring (11. ppg). She's scored in double-digits in 14 games.
