As part of the West Coast Conference Thanks Title IX campaign, the WCC launched its "Nine In Nine" video series, which features personal stories of WCC student-athletes, coaches and administrators from each of the WCC's nine institutions over nine months.
This month's video features University of San Francisco's Head Women's Basketball Coach Jennifer Azzi.
The Los Angeles Times has named Vanessa Nygaard (1998) the Southern California girls’ basketball coach of the year.
Vanessa is head coach of Girls Varsity Basketball at Windward School in Los Angeles. She led the team to 32 straight victories this season and a Southern Section Division 4AA championship.
She accomplished that after having given birth to twins in November two weeks before practice started.
